The “Healthy Brain Toolkit” is a program designed to provide participants with the tools to sustain and improve their mental health and emotional well-being. The Toolkit has four key components: Healthy homes, food safety, nutrition awareness, and mindful cooking. I deliver each of these components through customized lessons, online, and in-person. Each class is prepared after discussions with the staff and nutritionists, holding interviews, and conducting assessments with the participants about their mental and physical health profiles, dietary needs, and comprehension and retention levels. Finally, recipes are designed around the individuals’ nutritional needs and health profiles, including their medical diagnosis, lab test results, nurse’s notes, and nutritionist’s recommendations.
